Spider Turrets were spider-like robots which are deployed from the Dark Athena via pods. They are able to move around while trying to find an ideal position to remain stationary. Upon detecting any targets with their red sensors from their eyes, they will emit a squeak before they attack with its machine gun.
During the Dark Athena's assault on Aguerra Prime, Riddick encounters them upon obtaining the SCAR Gun from the Armory.
Tactics[]
It is best to check if there are targeting sites before traversing through any areas. The best weapon against them is the SCAR Gun. Not only does this weapon have unlimited ammo, Riddick can lean around the corner, fire a few shots at the robot quickly in case it detects him, and then detonate charges. In normal, one or two charges are enough to destroy it.
