Lockspur was a mercenary working for Boss Johns. He accompanied Johns in his search for Riddick and admired Riddick's courage in approaching them from a distance. After Riddick was captured and the rainstorm began, Lockspur told Riddick that he recognized the kinds of monsters that surrounded the Mercenary Station P7, which he called "the serpents."
He was killed in when the Mud Demons came crawling out of the ground. Shooting them through a window, he noticed they weren't hard to kill. One of them, however, stabbed him through a wall with its tail, slamming him against the window bars until he died.

Lockspur is played by actor Raoul Trujilo, who previously played the lead antagonist in the Mel Gibson directed Apocalypto (2006). Both this film and Riddick have a plot where a manhunt takes place through dangerous territory in which the protagonist is familiar with, but the pursuers are not. Also in both films, Trujilo's character is impaled by a spike in a trap set up by an enemy he has underestimated.
