The Poll Axe is a ceremonial necromonger weapon, as such it is frequently used by necromonger infantry forces. They closely resemble a pendulum-styled guillotine, and feature a speartip on the opposite end of the shaft. Irgun uses one to kill Imam Abu al-Walid, and later wields two in his short battle against Riddick.
